Listowel Celtic through in Girls National Cup:
Listowel Celtic u16 Girls made no mistake in their National Cup South West Region game as they defeated Carragiline 8-1. There goals came from Aoife Horgan 4, Zara Doherty 2 and 1 each from Caoimhe Spillane and Aisling Kelly.
Listowel Celtic are at home to another Cork side Wilton United in the next round.
Inter Kenmare Girls represent the League:
The first action of the Girls season saw Inter Kenmare represent the League in the Regional National U12 Blitz qualifiers played at the Cork IT.
The event comes a bit early for Kerry sides as the Girls League is only kicking off in the next two weeks. Never the less the Inter Kenmare side did very well losing out to the two eventual qualifiers from Cork. Inter went down 3-1 to Lakewood Athletic with Chloe Cremin on the mark.
Against Ringmahon Rangers the Kerry girls just lost out by the odd goal in 7. Cremin hit two in this game including one from the penalty spot with Tara Desmond also on the mark. As well as the two scorers Moya Granville and Orla O’Brien also impressed for Inter.
